Common use of System Seniority Clause in Contracts

System Seniority. System Seniority shall be defined as the employee’s total continuous service; which is defined as the original hire date with the Board from the most recent date of hire. System Seniority determines Vacation and Longevity Bonus as per Article 22. An employee shall not accumulate seniority during his/her probationary period. Upon completion of the probationary period, the employee’s system seniority date shall be adjusted back to include the sixty (60) work days of the probationary period plus all days worked as a substitute paraprofessional.
