Taking Vacation. a. In principle, vacation days should be taken in the calendar year during which they are earned. b. In the absence of a collective vacation period, an employee may determine his/her own vacation period, provided that he/she notifies his/her immediate supervisor in writing of his/her intention to take a consecutive vacation period, unless it will result in insufficient levels of staffing during the period in question. c. Taking other vacation days can be verbally agreed in advance. d. Whenever the employer deems it necessary for the interest of the company, the employer can, in consultation with the employee, change a vacation that has already been approved. Any loss suffered by the employee as a result of this decision will be reimbursed by the employer
