Telecommuting Workspace. 1. If a staff member is approved for telecommuting, the telecommuting workspace is considered an extension of the KFHPWA workspace. The Telecommuter shall designate a specific area of the residence where KFHPWA work will always be performed. Telecommuters must keep their telecommuting workspaces clean, orderly, hazard-free, and ergonomically correct. The workspace must be conducive to job performance and sufficiently private as to maintain the confidentiality of KFHPWA information and allow for the conduct of professional telephone interaction with co-workers and others.

Telecommuting Workspace. 1. If a staff member is approved for telecommuting, the telecommuting workspace is considered an extension of the GHC workspace. The Telecommuter shall designate a specific area of the residence where GHC work will always be performed. Telecommuters must keep their telecommuting workspaces clean, orderly, hazard-free, and ergonomically correct. The workspace must be conducive to job performance and sufficiently private as to maintain the confidentiality of GHC information and allow for the conduct of professional telephone interaction with co-workers and others.
Telecommuting Workspace. The Telecommuting Employee is responsible for designating a remote workspace, which is typically a space in the employee’s home whether it is a dorm or any type of residence (a small spare or bedroom, etc.). No work should be performed outside of this designated workspace. The designated workspace must be kept in a safe condition, free from hazards to both the employee and the equipment. Should the employee sustain any injuries in their designated workspace and in conjunction with his or her regular work duties, the employee is responsible for notifying his or her immediate head of such injuries as soon as is practicable. De La Salle University will not be responsible for any injuries to the employee or any third parties outside of the designated workspace or during the employee’s non-working time. If, while working from a designated remote workspace, the employee experiences technical issues with his or her computer or internet access that prevents the employee from working remotely, the employee must notify his or her immediate head immediately. Interruptions to work caused by internet outages may require the employee to work from their regular office space or an alternative worksite for the remainder of the day, or until the outage is fixed. Telecommuting Employees may be required to physically report to their usual work site as required by the needs of the department. Employees working from an alternative workspace such as the home understand that their computers and the internet may be monitored by De La Salle University from time to time during their work schedule.

  • Workspace Whenever an academic or student union building is planned for construction or renovation, there shall be consideration of the needs for office space of graduate student employees in relevant departments. The University shall provide to all graduate student employees an on-campus mailbox. With approval of their department chair, graduate student employees shall be given key access into the buildings in which their offices or labs are housed for the purpose of performing assistantship work in said office or lab which is permitted by the department chair to be done outside of regular business hours. Department chairs may deny key access into buildings and/or offices/labs in order to minimize access to confidential materials or to minimize the risk of theft, fire/explosion hazards, personal harm, and other security/safety issues. Denial shall not be arbitrary or capricious. If key access is denied, the reason will be provided to the graduate student employee(s) involved. All departmental policies related to the issuance of keys to TOs shall apply equally to TOs in the Division of Continuing Education. Graduate student employees shall have reasonable access to photocopiers for copying related to their employment within departmental guidelines for usage. The parties agree to the creation of a joint committee, composed of equal numbers of representatives of the Union and the University, that will attempt to develop a plan to provide appropriate telephone access for bargaining unit members in connection with their employment responsibilities. The University will provide to this committee a report on the offices assigned to bargaining unit members during the 2005-2006 academic year and the proximity of those offices to a University telephone available for use by the respective bargaining unit member.

  • Utility Services Company agrees to pay the full cost and expense associated with its use of all utilities, including but not limited to water, sanitary sewer, electric, storm drainage, and telecommunication services.

  • Electrical Equipment Residents must use only CSA, UL-approved or Canadian-certified electrical equipment; the rated wattage of light fixtures must never be exceeded; and only replacement bulbs supplied by Waterloo maintenance staff may be used.
