Working Remotely. Oregon state government encourages working remotely where it is a viable option that benefits both the employee and the agency. Use of remote work options promote the health and safety of Oregonians; ensures high-quality work and optimal use of resources for agencies; ensures cultural, equity and accessibility issues are addressed in a meaningful way; and supports flexibility and work-life balance for employees. It also offers the opportunity to be more flexible in interactions with the Oregonians we serve and decreases an agency's impact on the environment. Remote work arrangements are subject to the State Policy 50.050.01 (Working Remotely) and the terms and conditions of this collective bargaining agreement.

Working Remotely. Upon supervisor approval the unit member shall be allowed to remotely complete specified projects/tasks or part of their regular duties. The appropriate Chancellor’s Cabinet member would be required to approve fully remote assignments.
Working Remotely. Employees assigned to remote availability who are asked to work remotely shall be paid for one (1) full hour at one and a half (1 ½) times their basic rate. Any additional requests to work remotely received during that same one (1)-hour period shall not be additionally compensated. Employees shall then be paid at time and a half (1½) their basic hourly rate for each quarter (¼) of an hour worked.

Working Remotely. Employee acknowledges and agrees that Client may request that Employee provide service to Client through Clutch Legal remotely. (i.e., on premises other than the Client’s or Client’s customer’s premises) (“Work Remotely”), using computers, software, cd, diskettes or other media format, email accounts, hard drives, servers, and network equipment owned or licensed by Employee or the Client (collectively, the “Computer Systems”).
a. In the event that Employee is requested to Work Remotely on Computer Systems owned or licensed by Employee:
i. Employee represents and warrants that the Computer System will: (A) have a secure login; (B) have a commercially standard firewall protection installed; (C) have commercially standard anti-virus software installed (A), (B), and (C) collectively referred to as “Computer Protections”); and (D) be locked and secure at all times during the period that Individual is providing services to Client.
ii. Employee represents and warrants that the Computer Protections will (A) be operational and used according to their written specifications during the period that Employee is providing services to Client; and (B) be updated as recommended by the vendors providing such Computer Protections; and
iii. Employee represents and warrants that no person other than Employee will have access to or use the Computer Systems during the period that Employee will be providing services to Client.
b. In the event that Employee is requested to Work Remotely on Computer Systems owned or licensed by Client:
i. Employee represents and warrants that (A) the Computer Systems will be the sole equipment (except for any necessary internet connection at Employee’s remote location) used for the assignment by Employee; (B) no person other than the Employee or Client will have access to or use the Computer Systems; and (C) the Computer Systems will not be left unattended and will be locked when not in use and secure at all times;
ii. Employee represents and warrants that Employee shall not circumvent, override, or in any way bypass Client’s security protections and protocols on the Computer Systems; and
iii. Employee agrees that the Computer Systems are loaned to Employee by Client and Employee shall not acquire any ownership interest in the Computer Systems. At the end of Employee’s engagement for Client, Employee agrees to immediately return to Client the Client owned or leased Computer Systems.

Section 1. The Agency will allow employees to work remotely in accordance with Article 24 – Inclement Conditions and may, in rare situations, allow employees to work remotely, on a case by case basis, as approved by the supervisor. This Agreement is between the State of Oregon, acting through its Department of Administrative Services (Employer) on behalf of Agencies that have FOPPO bargaining units in the executive branch of state government (Agency) and FOPPO (Federation). This Agreement applies to all of the Federation’s bargaining units inside of the executive branch of state government. The purpose of this Agreement is to provide procedures to implement unscheduled pay equity adjustments consistent with Oregon law, and, to identify the appeal procedure to have Agency or Employer decisions concerning pay equity reviewed. The Parties agree to the following:
Working Remotely. If a staff member chooses to work remotely during the distance learning portion of the schedule they must be on site prepared for afternoon instruction 10 minutes prior to the start of the afternoon session. Additionally, no mileage will be reimbursed and travel is voluntarily taking place during the employees’ lunchtime. If an employee is unable to arrive in time to the afternoon session start time on (3) occasions they will be required to be on campus for all contract work hours.
