TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT TO A HIGHER CLASSIFICATION. Section 1. Suppression employees assigned and who perform in a higher classification than their own shall be compensated at the rate of five percent (5%) above their current regular rate of pay, or at the next highest step in pay in the classification to which they are assigned, from the first hour worked.
