L.P.N a licensed practical nurse is a professional healthcare team member who functions under the direction of the registered nurse or other licensed professional while providing care consistent with the state Nurse Practice Act and other governing statutes. Licensure pass rate: Performance on the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) for first-time writers (ACEN, 2013). Member of the nursing profession: Core nursing roles include provider of care, a member of the profession, and a manager of patient care. As a member of the nursing profession, one will use the nursing process, demonstrate therapeutic communication skills, identify and practice within legal and ethical guidelines, demonstrate self-directed learning, and adhere to codes of conduct (Wywialowski, 2004). Nursing research: A process of systematic inquire or study to build knowledge in nursing. The purpose of nursing research is to affect the direct provision of nursing and health care to recipients of nursing care as well as to generate knowledge in areas that affect nursing care processes indirectly (Xxxxxx & Xxxxx, 2014). Nursing Process: A systematic rational method of planning and providing nursing care (Xxxxxx & Xxxxxx, 2012).
L.P.N. 1. The District shall employ Licensed Practical Nurse(s) LPN’s shall be flexible and expect assignments in the following areas: Special education classrooms, other special programs, playground, lunchroom, regular classrooms etc. 2. The Principal supervises the LPN in cooperation with the school nurse LPN’s report to the Principal and are responsible for carrying out District policies, rules and regulations as well as the job-specific duties outlined by the employee’s supervisor. 3. LPNs shall normally be paid on a monthly basis for ten (10) months. LPNs opting for twelve (12) monthly pay periods will be required to notify the payroll office on the proper form by September 10, and will be bound to that option for the remainder of the school year. 4. Employment shall be contingent on the continuing enrollment of specific medically fragile students who require the services of a Licensed Practical Nurse in order to participate in school.

L.P.N. An Employee shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour for each hour worked between 0001 hours and Saturday and 2400 hours Sunday. April 1, 2016, all employees shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour for each hour worked between 2300 hours Friday and 2300 hours Sunday.
L.P.N. Employees working the evening shift shall be paid a shift differential of ninety-five cents (0.95) cents per hour for the entire shift worked. Employees working the night shift shall be paid a shift differential of one dollar and seventy-five ($1.75) per hour for the entire shift worked. April 1, 2016, all employees the evening shift premium shall be seventy (0.70) cents per hour, and the night shift premium shall be two ($2.00) dollars per hour. April 1, 2018, for all employees the evening shift premium shall be one dollars and ten cents ($1.10) per hour, and the night shift premium shall be three dollars ($3.00) per hour.

L.P.N. A Licensed Practical Nurse is a person entitled to practice in accordance with the laws and guidelines established by the provincial licensing body. 3 For a full-time RN or LPN employed from July 1st to December 31st inclusive, the nurse will be entitled to one (1) day [eight (8) hours] of paid employment bonus leave as of January 1st. Similarly, for full-time nurses employed January 1st to June 30th, one (1) day [eight (8) hours] will be credited July 1st and so on for each six (6) month period. The paid employment bonus may be taken as time off with pay or the time may be paid out at the sole discretion of the nurse. The time earned in one (1) six (6) month period must be taken prior to the end of the next six (6) month period.

In recognition of the value of the continuing employment of the professional nursing staff, a system of paid employment bonus leave days is provided to recognize the nurses who remain in the ongoing employment of the Home. The formula will be effective January 10, 2001, with the first entitlement to be available July 1, 2001. 2. The Continuance Incentive will be earned, commencing the first entitlement period following their second anniversary of continuous service, as defined in Article 2105. 3. For a full-time RN or LPN employed from July 1st to December 31st inclusive, the nurse will be entitled to two (2) days [sixteen (16) hours] of paid employment bonus leave as of January 1st. Similarly, for full-time nurses employed January 1st to June 30th, two (2) days [sixteen (16) hours] will be credited July 1st and so on for each six (6) month period. The paid employment bonus may be taken as time off with pay or the time may be paid out at the sole discretion of the nurse. The time earned in one (1) six (6) month period must be taken prior to the end of the next six (6) month period. 4. Part-time nurses shall earn paid employment bonus days on a prorated basis as calculated by the number of hours paid in the relevant period as compared to a full-time nurse. 5. Entitlement accumulates, but no benefit is payable from such accumulation if the nurse terminates their employment prior to the December 31st and June 30th cut off dates. 6. Any payment is on a straight time per hour, based on the nurse’s regular salary. Such time off must be requested in writing at least two (2) weeks prior to posting. Approval will be granted whenever reasonably possible but will not result in overtime costs to the Employer.
