Common use of Temporary Change of Duties Clause in Contracts

Temporary Change of Duties. (a) On each occasion that employees are appointed to relieve in a senior position coming within the jurisdiction of this Collective Agreement, which requires them to perform duties of a higher level than those which would normally be assigned the position for which they are employed on a regular basis, for one (1) day or more, but less than thirty (30) days (statutory holidays included), they will be remunerated for the whole of the period at a relief rate of five (5) percent increase in pay for the employee.

On each occasion that employees are appointed to relieve in a senior position coming within the jurisdiction of this Collective Agreement, which requires them to perform the duties of a higher level than those which would normally be assigned the position for which they are employed on a regular basissenior position, for one (1) day or more, but less than thirty (30) days (statutory holidays included), they will shall be remunerated for the whole of the period each complete relieving day at a relief rate of five (5) percent increase in pay for the employee.
