Common use of TEMPORARY LAY-OFF Clause in Contracts

TEMPORARY LAY-OFF. (a) In all cases of temporary lay-off (i.e. up to ten (10) full regular working days) seniority need not be considered. For clarity, no employee shall be temporarily laid-off out of seniority pursuant to this Article 7.12 (1) for more than a total of ten (10) working days in any calendar year. The Company will maintain data on temporary lay-offs pursuant to this Article 7.12 (1) and the Company and the Union will meet quarterly to discuss such data.
