Terminal Pay for Sick Leave. The Board shall provide terminal pay for accumulated sick leave to any employee who has worked for the Board at least one (1) year or to the employee's beneficiary without regard to length of service if service is terminated by death. Such terminal pay shall be in the amount determined by the daily rate of pay of the employee at the time of termination and the number of years of service in Polk County. Calculations shall be made as follows: (a) During the second and third year of service, the daily rate of pay multiplied by 35% times the number of days of accumulated sick leave; (b) During the fourth, fifth and sixth years of service, the daily rate of pay multiplied by 40% times the number of days of accumulated sick leave; (c) During the seventh, eighth, and ninth years of service, the daily rate of pay multiplied by 45% times the number of days of accumulated sick leave; (d) During and after ten years of service with the Board, the daily rate of pay multiplied by 50% times the number of days of accumulated sick leave;
