Testing Mechanisms. Drug testing mechanisms may include the radioimmunoassay (RIA) method, the thin layer chromatography (TLC) method or other methods or techniques recognized by authorities as reasonable and reliable. If an employee tests positive based upon these methods, the test shall be confirmed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) test. Drug testing shall normally be based upon urinalysis unless good cause exists for another basis for testing. Testing for alcohol or other substances may be performed by recognized methods or techniques (e.g. Blood testing, breathalyzer, etc.).
