The Association 1. Upon a request in writing made to the President of a University, the Association or any Chapter thereof shall have the right to meet at such University if appropriate facilities are available. All requests must be received at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the time requested for the meeting. The parties agree not to schedule meetings involving members of the bargaining unit which would conflict with any previously scheduled meetings or regularly scheduled classes. The parties intend that this provision shall not be deemed to prevent the reasonable scheduling of Association meetings or to permit interference with the normal conduct of University affairs.
Hospital-Association Committee (a) There shall be a Hospital-Association Committee comprised of representatives of the Hospital, one of whom shall be the Chief Nursing Officer or designate and of the Association, one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President or designate. The number of representatives is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions and the membership of the Committee may be expanded by mutual agreement.
Insurance Committee An Insurance Committee comprised of three (3) representatives selected by the Superintendent and three (3) representatives selected by Okeechobee County Education Association #1604 shall be established to review and make recommendations regarding the health insurance program. The Committee shall meet at least quarterly and may meet more frequently as needed. Notwithstanding the above, any anticipated changes to the hospitalization and health insurance program which would result in a program less than equivalent to the existing program shall be subject to negotiations.
Recognition of the Association The County recognizes the Government Supervisors Association of Florida, OPEIU, Local 100, ("Association") which has been certified, by the Florida Public Employee Relations Commission, Certification Number 1289, as the sole and exclusive representative of the employees within the Bargaining Unit, as described pursuant to PERC Case No. EL-2000-013, and as amended by mutual agreement of the parties for the purpose of collective bargaining with respect to wages, hours of employment, and other terms and conditions of employment. References to “Supervisory” in this Agreement will include all Bargaining Unit members.
PREGNANCY LEAVE BENEFITS Common Central Provisions a) The Employer shall provide for permanent and long-term occasional teachers and teachers hired into a term position who access such leaves, a SEB plan to top up their E.I.
Joint Insurance Committee The Committee shall be referred to as the Joint Insurance Committee (Academic Employees).
Health Insurance Committee The UFF-USF-GAU President will appoint one (1) employee to serve on the University's Student Health Insurance Committee.
RIGHTS OF THE ASSOCIATION Section 4.1 The Association has the right and responsibility to represent the interests of all employees in the unit; to present its views to the District on matters of concern, either orally or in writing as requested by the District up to and including negotiating the collective bargaining agreement.
Special Education Committee The parties agree to establish a committee comprised of representatives from ETFO, the Ministry of Education and school board leadership in the area of special education. Additional representatives may be invited as resources to the committee as needed. The committee will discuss current issues as identified by the parties related to supporting students with special education needs. The committee shall meet regularly commencing no later than November 30, 2015 and recommendations will be made to the Minister of Education by April 30, 2016. Terms of reference will be jointly developed to inform the scope of discussions and recommendations. Association-Management Committee There shall be an Association-Management Committee comprised of two (2) representatives of the parties. The Committee shall meet quarterly, unless otherwise mutually agreed. Agenda items to be discussed shall be exchanged in writing at least five calendar days prior to the meeting. Meetings of this Committee will be to discuss matters of mutual concern, matters relating to nursing, professional practice, scheduling and work load issues. The Committee shall promote and provide for effective and meaningful communication. The parties agree Self Scheduling is appropriate subject matter to discuss in this forum.
