Tie Scores. 1. If two (2) or more employees have equal service credit within the same geographic area, the order of layoff shall be in inverse of the greatest length of continuous State service. 2. If the first method does not break the tie, the employee with the least length of continuous service in the OMD (including the prior time in the bargaining unit at the State Police) shall be scheduled for layoff. 3. Should a tie between employees still exist, the order of layoff shall be at the discretion of the appointing authority.
