Common use of Tie Scores Clause in Contracts

Tie Scores. If it is found that two (2) or more employees in the university/college in which the layoff is to be made have equal seniority, the order of layoff shall be in inverse order of the greatest length of continuous OUS service. If this does not break the tie, then the greatest length of continuous service in the university/college shall be used. If ties between employees still exist, the order of layoff shall be determined by the university/college in such manner as to conserve for the university/college the services of the most qualified employee.
