TIME ALLOWANCE. The Company agrees that: (a) An employee who has, or believes she has a grievance may confer with her Representative or with management during her scheduled working hours, without deduction of the time so occupied in the computation of the time worked for the Company, and without deduction of wages in respect thereof; provided, however, that each employee must arrange with her immediate manager, subject to service requirements, for all time off the job required for the above purposes. All time off required after the job required for expiry date of the above purposesCollective Agreement or the date that conciliation is requested will be without pay and subsection shall apply. (a) A District President Union Xxxxxxx, Chief Xxxxxxx or Local Officer may attend, up to a maximum of five working days for each absence, to other business of the Association may attend meetings held by Union without deduction of the Association to prepare time so occupied in the computation of time worked for bargaining with the Company, provided that it is the business of the bargaining unit covered by this Agreement. A Local President or his delegated representative may attend, up to a maximum of five working days for each absence, to other business of the Union without deduction of the time so occupied in the computation of time worked for the Company. All time off required pursuant to subsections (a) or will be granted without pay; however, the Company will pay the Union Xxxxxxx, Chief Xxxxxxx or Local Officer, on behalf of the Union, at his basic rate of pay for all time off to attend to other business of the Union. Any amount so paid by the Company will be billed to the National Union monthly with an accompanying statement of account and the Union shall remit that amount to the Company within days of receipt of the bill. (a) Time off pursuant to this Article shall be granted only following a formal request to management, on a form supplied by the Company. Such request shall contain the reason the time off is required, the name of the requesting the meeting and the name of the xxxxxxx (if appropriate), a telephone number where the person requesting the time off can be reached and the estimated duration of the time off the job requested. Such request will not unreasonably be denied, but it is recognized that service requirements make it impractical at times to grant the request; in such cases, the Union Xxxxxxx, Chief Xxxxxxx or Local Officer requesting the time off may be replaced by the nearest available Union Xxxxxxx, Chief Xxxxxxx or Local from amongst those designated by the Union as a replacement. Where a portion of an employee's scheduled vacation falls at the same time as a National Convention or the Bargaining Caucus of the Union to which he is elected to attend, that portion of the employee's vacation may be rescheduled for an available time on the vacation schedule. (a) It is understood that Union Representatives have work to perform for the Company and any time spent on Union matters during working hours will be devoted only to Union business as provided for in this Agreement. In keeping with that understanding it is also agreed that Union Representatives have a legal obligation to provide proper representation, and time off for Union business will not unreasonably be withheld. Both the Union and the Company agree that the granting and use of time off the job will not be abused. Representatives of the Company will meet, quarterly if required, with the President and Vice-presidents of the Union to review alleged abuses regarding the granting or use of time off the job notwithstanding that a matter to be reviewed is, or may be, the subject of a grievance. One representative of each of the Locals with Expertech employees, to a maximum of may attend the Bargaining Caucus of the Union without deduction of the time so occupied in the computation of the time worked for the Company, and without deduction of wages in respect thereof, up to a maximum of five (5) days from her regularly scheduled tours of duty, four days; provided however that the Company is given the name names of the District President at least delegates two (2) weeks before the date the time off is to begin. It is agreed that the total of all such pre- bargaining time off for all District Presidents calculated together shall not exceed days. An authorized bargaining Representative of the Association may have time off from work during her scheduled working hours for purposes of bargaining, without deduction of the time so occupied in the computation of the time worked for the Company, and without deduction of wages in respect thereof; provided that such time is actually devoted to collective bargaining with management, but only until the expiry date of this Collective Agreement. (a) Representatives may, without deduction of the time so occupied in the computation of the time worked for the Company, attend to other business of the Association during scheduled working hours, provided that each Representative must arrange with her immediate manager, subject to service requirements, for all time off the job, not to exceed consecutive calendar days, required for the above purpose and providing such business is concerned with the bargaining unit covered by this Agreement. All time off so required will be granted as time off without pay; however The Company pay the Representative, on behalf of the Association, at her basic rate of pay for ail time off without pay to attend to other business of the Association. Any amount so paid by the Company be billed to the Association, which shall remit that amount to the Company within days of receipt of the bill; Requests for time off without pay to attend to other business of the Association, in excess of five (5) days, must be submitted to the Representative's immediate manager at least days prior to the date requested for the commencement of the time off without paymeeting.

(b) It is agreed that the total of all such pre- pre-bargaining time off for all District Presidents Representatives calculated together shall not exceed 20 days. . 5.03 An authorized bargaining Representative of the Association Union may have time off from work during her scheduled working hours for purposes of bargaining, without deduction of the time so occupied in the computation of the time worked for the Company, and without deduction of wages in respect thereof; provided that such time is actually devoted to collective bargaining with management, but only until the expiry date of this Collective Agreement. (a) Representatives may, without deduction of the time so occupied in the computation of the time worked for the Company, attend to other business of the Association Union during scheduled working hours, provided that each Representative must arrange with her immediate managersupervisor, subject to service requirements, for all time off the job, not to exceed 30 consecutive calendar days, required for the above purpose and providing such business is concerned with the bargaining unit covered by this Agreement.
