Time of Award. It is expected that the award of the Contract, if it is awarded, will be made within 90 days following the opening of the Bidder’s Proposals. Should administrative difficulties be encountered after the opening of the Bidder’s Proposals, including the annulment of any award, that may delay an award or subsequent award beyond such 90 day period, Owner may accept any Bidder’s Proposal for which the date for acceptance has been extended as provided in Section 10 of these General Instructions to Bidders in order to avoid the need for re-advertisement. No Bidder shall be under any obligation to extend the date for acceptance of its Bidder’s Proposal. Failure of one or more of the Bidders or their sureties to extend the date for acceptance of its Bidder’s Proposal shall not prejudice the right of Owner to accept any Bidder’s Proposal for which the date for acceptance has been extended.
