Time Off for Union Activities. A. Union-designated employees may request to be allowed time off without pay to attend union-sponsored meetings, training sessions, conferences, and conventions, and such requests will be granted, provided the absence of the employee(s) does not unreasonably interfere with the operating needs of the College as determined by management. If the requested absence is approved, employees may use leave, such as personal holiday or accrued vacation leave, instead of leave without pay. B.
