Common use of Towers Allowance Clause in Contracts

Towers Allowance. An Employee working on a chimney stack, spire, control tower, observation tower, radio or television mast or tower, air shaft (other than above ground in a multi-storey building), cooling tower, water tower or silo, where the construction exceeds 15 metres in height shall be paid an hourly allowance as follows: Height From Operative Date From First Pay Period 31/12/2024 From First Pay Period 31/12/2025 From First Pay Period 31/12/2026 For all work above 15 metres $0.80 $0.84 $0.88 $0.93 For all work each 15 metres additional $0.80 $0.84 $0.88 $0.93

Towers Allowance. This allowance shall not apply in addition to height money as prescribed in 3.4.9.
