Letter of Understanding between The Corporation of the Town of Ajax and The Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 54 The Corporation of the Town of Ajax and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 54, agree to the following terms and conditions regarding Winter Control Operations on a trial basis for the term of the Collective Agreement April 1, 2007 to March 31, 2011. Any issues arising out of the new Winter Shift and Winter Control Standby will be dealt with between the parties as they arise using best efforts to resolve such. Any changes to this Letter of Understanding shall be mutually agreed to by the parties. Winter Shift • Effective upon ratification the Employer shall seek qualified volunteers to implement a 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Winter Shift to commence January 2, 2008 up to and including March 31, 2008. Thereafter, the Winter Shift will commence on each December 1 up to and including March 31. • There shall be four (4) employees required to work the permanent Winter Shift. • Volunteers must be qualified to salt/sand/plow. • If more than four (4) employees volunteer, then the parties shall meet to reach a mutually agreeable rotation. If an agreement cannot be reached then the four (4) senior employees shall be assigned the shift. • Schedule “A” item 18 regarding breakfast allowance shall not apply to those employees on the permanent Winter Shift except when another employee qualified for the breakfast allowance due to a call-out, then it shall apply to the employees on the Winter Shift. • If four (4) employees do not volunteer then the Town may order up. It is understood that when employees on the Winter Control Shift are not performing winter control duties they will be assigned other duties. Winter Control Standby • Effective upon ratification the employer shall seek volunteers to implement the new Winter Control Standby which shall commence on December 1, 2007. • Winter Control Standby shall be from December 1 up to and including March 31 • A maximum of 22 qualified individuals from Operations & Environmental Services may volunteer for Winter Control Standby. • If more than 22 individuals volunteer for Standby then they shall be placed on an alternate list. • There shall be two (2) teams of eleven ...

  • Membership Benefits The benefits of CamCare programs are available only while your membership is current and active. Benefits are term year specific so they can only be used during the current active plan agreement period. Each plan has been designed carefully to include those elements associated with the main intent of a particular plan.

  • Membership The Committee shall include nine (9) members - five (5) representatives from CUPE/SCFP and four (4) representatives from the CTA. Up to two (2) advisors from the Ministry of Education shall act in a resource capacity to the committee. Other persons may attend meetings in order to provide support and resources as mutually agreed.   • Partnership Working 7.1 Partnerships will be supported by local authorities on four levels between:

  • Multi-Year Planning The CAPS will be in a form acceptable to the LHIN and may be required to incorporate (1) prudent multi-year financial forecasts; (2) plans for the achievement of performance targets; and (3) realistic risk management strategies. It will be aligned with the LHIN’s then current Integrated Health Service Plan and will reflect local LHIN priorities and initiatives. If the LHIN has provided multi-year planning targets for the HSP, the CAPS will reflect the planning targets.

  • Business Partners Red Hat has entered into agreements with other organizations (“Business Partners”) to promote, market and support certain Software and Services. When Client purchases Software and Services through a Business Partner, Red Hat confirms that it is responsible for providing the Software and Services to Client under the terms of this Agreement. Red Hat is not responsible for (a) the actions of Business Partners, (b) any additional obligations Business Partners have to Client, or (c) any products or services that Business Partners supply to Client under any separate agreements between a Business Partner and Client.
