TRAINING OFFICIAL TIME. 1. Union representatives may be excused from duty and granted official time, workload permitting, to attend training that is designed to advise representatives on federal labor relations matters and which is of mutual benefit to the Agency and the Union. 2. A Union representative requesting to attend such training will present a description of the course to the Agency. 3. Absent mutual agreement, the Agency will not pay travel, per diem, course fees, or any other costs incidental to the approved training. 4. Requests for Union-sponsored training will be submitted with the agenda that includes the actual hours that training will be conducted. Normally, requests will be received in writing from the Union at least 30 days in advance of the date training is scheduled to commence. At the local level, when training involves 1-2 stewards the request will be made prior to the posting of the G259. Management will notify the Union of its decision on the request as early as practical, no later than15 days after receipt of the request. 5. Official time for this purpose will be charged to ad hoc or block time.

  • Official Time Duty time that is granted to representatives on behalf of the exclusive representative to perform representational functions without loss of pay or charge to an employee’s leave account. Official time will not be granted for internal union business, as defined by 5 USC 7131(b).

  • Official Language 1. All proceedings pursuant to this Agreement shall be conducted in the English language. 2. Any document submitted for use in any proceedings pursuant to this Agreement shall be in the English language. If any original document is not in the English language, a Party submitting it for use in the proceedings pursuant to this Agreement shall provide an English translation of that document.

  • Official Languages (a) Appointments and transfers shall be subject to the Corporate Official Languages Policy, as it may be amended from time to time. (b) The parties agree to study the feasibility of developing a program to facilitate the exchange of employees who wish to improve their proficiency in the other official language.

  • Central Time After all Parties have been notified, the provisions of paragraphs (b) and (c) of this Section 2.1 shall apply.”

  • Additional Time If because of events beyond the Design Professional’s reasonable control, it is not able to meet the specified time period, then it should be entitled to ask the Owner for additional time, which request shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • DIPLOMATIC AND CONSULAR OFFICIALS Nothing in this Convention shall affect the fiscal privileges of diplomatic or consular officials under the general rules of international law or under the provisions of special agreements.

  • School Official For the purposes of this DPA and pursuant to 34 CFR § 99.31(b), a School Official is a contractor that: (1) Performs an institutional service or function for which the agency or institution would otherwise use employees; (2) Is under the direct control of the agency or institution with respect to the use and maintenance of Student Data including Education Records; and (3) Is subject to 34 CFR § 99.33

  • KEY OFFICIALS A. The technical representatives for the Federal Agencies are as follows:

  • Personal Time Employees shall be eligible to take accrued PTO time for personal reasons. Such time must be scheduled in advance in accordance with Employer policies and be approved by the employee's supervisor. Personal time PTO must be taken in at least one hour increments.

  • School Official Designation Pursuant to Article I, Paragraph 1 of the DPA Standard Clauses, and in accordance with FERPA, ISSRA and SOPPA, in performing its obligations under the DPA, the Provider is acting as a school official with legitimate educational interest; is performing an institutional service or function for which the LEA would otherwise use its own employees; is under the direct control of the LEA with respect to the use and maintenance of Student Data; and is using Student Data only for an authorized purpose and in furtherance of such legitimate educational interest.
