Transfer Credits and Terminal Vacation Pay. When an employee is appointed to another department of the county, his/her vacation credit shall be assumed by the new appointing power. An employee who is terminated during the initial six (6) months of his/her employment shall not be entitled to cash compensation in lieu of vacation leave. If he/she has served six (6) continuous months and is separated from county service, he/she shall be entitled to cash compensation at the appropriate hourly rate set forth in the conversion table included in the county pay plan for accrued vacation leave. In case of death, compensation for accrued vacation leave shall be paid in the same manner that pay due to the decedent is paid.
