Transfer Credits and Terminal Vacation Pay. A. When an employee is appointed to another department of the county, the employee shall retain accumulated vacation credits. B. An employee who terminates during the initial six (6) months of their employment shall not be entitled to cash compensation in lieu of vacation leave. If the employee has served six (6) full calendar months and is separated from county service, the employee shall be entitled to cash compensation at the hourly rate the employee was receiving at the time of separation. In case of death, compensation for accrued vacation leave shall be paid in the same manner that wages due to the decedent are paid.
