Common use of Transitional Duty Clause in Contracts

Transitional Duty. An employee, who is temporarily partially disabled from performing the duties of his/her classification due to an on-the-job-injury may be temporarily reassigned without reduction in pay, in accordance with the Civil Service and Personnel Rules and Regulations, to other duties commensurate with the employee’s medical fitness, availability of suitable work, and his/her qualifications for the position.
