Common use of Travel and Transportation Clause in Contracts

Travel and Transportation. This provision is applicable when international travel is authorized under this Agreement. Unless included in the approved budget for this Agreement, no funds may be expended for international travel without IAVI’s written approval. Expenditures of funds provided under this Agreement (i) for transportation of goods or travel of personnel overseas shall be subject to the USAID Standard Provision, “International Air Travel and Transportation (JUNE 1999),” and (ii) for shipments of goods by sea shall be subject to the USAID Standard Provision, “Ocean Shipment of Goods (JUNE 1999).” U.S. flag carriers must be used to the extent service by such carriers is available. This provision will be included in all subawards and contracts hereunder which require international travel and transportation.
