Travel by Car. If the Contractor travels by private car, the ECB will reimburse the equivalent of the cost of a return first-class rail ticket between the railway station closest to the Contractor’s place of residence and the ECB’s premises in Frankfurt. This payment shall cover all expenses relating to the use of the car. The Contractor must attach evidence of the rail ticket price to the claim. The ECB is not liable for any damage, injury or loss arising from the trip. Furthermore, the ECB declines liability for any costs arising as a result of alleged or actual offences committed in breach of road traffic laws and regulations. The ECB does not reimburse car rental expenses.
