Common use of Trial Period Upon Promotion or Transfer Clause in Contracts

Trial Period Upon Promotion or Transfer. In the event an employee is promoted or transferred to a higher‐rated position, the employee shall be considered to be on trial for a period of not more than sixty (60) working days. If, at the end of the trial period, the employee is not considered satisfactory in the higher‐rated position, they shall be returned to their previous position without loss of seniority. It is agreed that the time mentioned herein may be extended by mutual agreement.
