Trial Period Upon Promotion or Transfer. i. A promoted or transferred employee will be "on trial" during the first three (3) months of the promotion or transfer to determine suitability in the position. If an employee does not prove satisfactory in the new position, the employee shall be returned to the employee's former position without loss of seniority or salary in such former position. ii. Where a promoted or transferred employee is absent during the three-month trial period, the three-month trial period shall be extended by the number of days absent.
