Vacation Adjustment. Employees hired prior to 1995 April 26 shall continue to be covered by the vacation pay adjustment provision contained in the 1991-93 Collective Agreement. All other employees shall be covered by the following provision. As soon as possible following December 31st in each year, a vacation pay adjustment will be made in a lump sum to all employees other than those entitled to an annual percentage of earnings in lieu of vacation, where such employee's annual basic earnings exclusive of overtime and any other premium payments not normally taken into account in the computation of annual vacation pay exceeds their regular base rate earnings during the year in question. Such cash payments shall reflect the proportionate difference between the actual annual basic earnings and regular base rate earnings applied to the employees' annual vacation pay for the year in question, but shall not be paid in any case where the total amount payable is less than one dollar ($1.00).
Vacation Adjustment. Vacations must be adjusted within the bid protest time period to allow maximum trips to be placed on reserve lines and in open time. A Flight Attendant wishing to slide her/his vacation for the next month to fly a pairing that would otherwise be pulled must call Crew Planning no later than the end of bid line protest. If the Flight Attendant does not adjust her/his vacation within the time limits, Crew Planning will pull all original crew pairings which overlap into and/or out of the vacation week(s). Should a problem arise during the bid protest period concerning a line change that affects a vacation holder due to scheduling error, the above time limits will be waived and the Flight Attendant will be allowed to adjust her/his vacation by the first of the month.
Vacation Adjustment. If the Closing occurs in calendar year 2006, then the Purchase Price shall be decreased, dollar for dollar, by an amount equal to the sum of the Vacation Adjustment Amount for each Company Employee (if any) as of the Closing Date (the “Vacation Adjustment”).
Vacation Adjustment. Employees may trade vacation periods by mutual consent of the employees affected and the Department Head, provided overtime does not result due to the trade.
Vacation Adjustment. In January of each year, employees will be paid a lump sum payment equal to the difference between their vacation entitlement percentage and the actual vacation paid. This adjustment results from any difference between vacation hours / weeks which are paid at the hourly rate vs. vacation amount accrued on gross earnings. If the percentage of gross earnings is greater than the value of vacation hours / weeks entitlement, the difference is paid as a lump sum payment called “Vacation Adjustment”.
Vacation Adjustment. It is understood and agreed that the Company shall pay a vacation adjustment cheque to employees who qualify at the end of the vacation year.
Vacation Adjustment. 1. Flight Attendants will be permitted to swap vacation periods with other Flight Attendants in her/his domicile. Swap requests from each Flight Attendant must be in writing and submitted to Flight Support prior to the month of the vacation in which the swap occurs. Properly submitted vacation swap requests shall be immediately approved, if the swap is for an equal number of vacation days. Requests for a trade involving an unequal number of days shall be awarded at the Company’s discretion.
2. Flight Attendants will be permitted to exchange their previously awarded vacation for available vacation periods. The Company will post open vacation periods for the calendar year in each monthly bid package. All vacation swaps must be in writing to Flight Support. The new awards will be made as follows: a trade involving vacation in the next bid month will be awarded on the initial bid award. A trade involving vacation in a month later than the next bid month shall be awarded on the last Friday of the month.
3. Flight Attendants on Leave of Absence may trade scheduled vacation with open vacation slots but may not trade vacation slots with another Flight Attendant.
4. Upon return from a Leave of Absence, a Flight Attendant shall contact crew planning to reschedule any vacation unused as a result of the Leave of Absence. At the time of return, such Flight Attendant shall move the vacation to any available slot with the same number of days or greater. At the time of her/his return if there are no slots available through the end of the year, the Flight Attendant will participate in the monthly vacation bid process through the end of the year. If no vacation has become available by the end of the year, then the Flight Attendant shall, at the Company’s option, cash out the vacation at five (5) hours per day or carry it over to the following year. The Flight Attendant may place the carry over vacation in any available slot for the following year during the monthly vacation bid process.
Vacation Adjustment. A vacation adjustment schedule, in addition to the vacation entitlements listed above, is as follows: In those years that an employee first achieves the vacation plateaus of each of three (3), four (4), five (5) and six (6) weeks of vacation with pay, such employee shall be entitled to a vacation adjustment equivalent to 0.208 days, with pay, for each full one- half (1/2) month of service between their date of last hire with the Company and December 31st of that same year. Although the pay entitlement shall be calculated as outlined above, the time entitlement shall be rounded off to the nearest full day..
Vacation Adjustment. A regular employee leaving the employ of the Board will receive an annual vacation adjustment of one-half of the current vacation entitlement plus an additional one-twelfth for each month worked during the calendar year retirement occurs if the employee: has ten or more years of service with the Board and leaves the work force at age or; ten or more years of service with the Board and retires pursuant to the Municipal Superannuation Act (including medical disability as defined under the Act).
Vacation Adjustment. A vacation adjustment shall be paid on or before February 28th to all active full-time employees as of the last pay period ending date of the previous year, calculated as follows: (Gross Earnings X Vacation Pay (Annual Entitlement X Rate of Pay) = Vacation Pay Adjustment Gross Earnings = Gross earnings as reported on the employee's less: Taxable Allowances Previous year vacation pay adjustment Vacation Pay As defined in Article Annual Entitlement = As defined in Article Rate of Pay Employee's hourly rate as of the last pay period at year end or the termination date For employees who commenced employment during the year, the vacation pay adjustment shall be prorated based on the number of calendar days in the Company's employ. Upon termination, all outstanding vacation entitlement will be paid out and a further vacation pay adjustment will be made to adjust for the period from the employee's accredited service date and their termination date. Cancellation of Scheduled Vacation An employee may only cancel approved vacation by provid- ing written notice to his immediate Supervisor of his intention to do so prior to the first day shift of the previous cycle. of scheduled vacation shall not impose addi- tional cost to the Company.
