Common use of Unannounced Observations Clause in Contracts

Unannounced Observations. i. Unannounced observations may be in the form of partial or full-period classroom visitations which are typically at least ten minutes, Walkthroughs, or any other means deemed useful by the Educator, Evaluator, principal, superintendent, or other administrator. ii. The Educator will be provided with at least brief written feedback from the Evaluator within five school days of the observation. The written feedback shall be delivered to the Educator in person, by password protected email, electronic sharing tool, placed in the Educator's mailbox, or mailed to the Educator's home. iii. Any observation or series of observations resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement for the first time may be followed by at least one observation of at least 30 minutes in duration within 30 school days.

No other observations may take place until the day after the feedback has been provided. The teacher and administrator are encouraged to have conversations on feedback.

The Evaluator will provide the Educator will be provided with at least brief written feedback from through the Evaluator District-designated electronic system within five three (3) school days of the observation. c. The Educator shall have the opportunity to respond in writing to any feedback from the Evaluator. The written feedback Educator shall be delivered to sign the Educator in person, by password protected email, electronic sharing tool, placed in the Educator's mailbox, form within five (5) school days. The signature does not indicate agreement or mailed to the Educator's homedisagreement with its contents. iii. d. Any observation or series of observations resulting in one (1) or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement standard(s) deemed Unsatisfactory for the first time may must be followed by at least one observation of at least 30 minutes in duration within 30 school days. e. If an observation results in one (1) or more standard(s) deemed Needs Improvement and it is requested by the Educator, the Evaluator will follow up with an additional observation within 30 school days.

For teachers with PTS, at least ten one of the observations will be a minimum of thirty minutes in duration unless an emergency occurs to prevent this. If an emergency occurs to prevent this, the Evaluator and Educator must mutually agree that the observation will be fewer than thirty minutes, Walkthroughs, or any other means deemed useful by the Educator, Evaluator, principal, superintendent, or other administrator. ii. ) The Educator will be provided with at least brief written feedback from the Evaluator within five 5 school days of from the observation. The written feedback shall be delivered to the Educator in person, by password protected email, electronic sharing tool, placed in the Educator's mailbox, or mailed to the Educator's home. iii. ) Any observation or series of observations resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement for the first time may must be followed by at least one observation of at least 30 thirty minutes in duration within 30 thirty school days.

Unannounced Observations. i. i) Unannounced observations may be in the form of partial or full-period classroom visitations which are typically at least ten minutes, Walkthroughs, or any other means as deemed useful by the Educator, Evaluator, principal, superintendent, superintendent or other administrator. Unannounced observations may be in the form of partial (at least 15 minutes) or full-period classroom visitations which are typically at least ten minutesvisitations, Instructional Rounds, Walkthroughs, Learning Walks, or any other means deemed useful by the Educator, Evaluator, principal, Primary and/or Secondary Evaluator or superintendent, or other administrator. ii. The Educator will be provided with at least brief written feedback from the Evaluator within five 3-5 school days of the observation. The written feedback shall be delivered to the Educator in person, by password protected email, electronic sharing tool, placed in the Educator's mailbox, electronically via a secure connection or mailed to the Educator's ’s home. A follow-up face-to-face conversation will be held within a reasonable period of time at the request of the Educator or the Evaluator. iii. Any observation or series of observations resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement for the first time may must be followed by at least one observation of at least 30 minutes in duration within 30 school days.

The written feedback shall be delivered to through the Educator in person, by password protected email, electronic sharing tool, placed in the Educator's mailbox, or mailed to the Educator's homeDistrict’s chosen evaluation management software. iii. ) Any observation or series of observations resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement for the first time may must be followed by at least one observation of at least 30 minutes in duration within 30 school days.
