Uniform Maintenance. All officers and all firefighters will be required to maintain this issue and have items replaced when worn or damaged. All employees are required to maintain issued articles in serviceable condition. Articles that are damaged or worn will be replaced or repaired by the City, provided the damage is not the result of the member’s intentional abuse or negligence. When any item reaches the end of its useful life, or is damaged, it will be replaced by the City when turned in to the fire chief or his designee, who shall have the sole discretion in determining if replacement is necessary.
