Regular full-time employees shall accumulate sick leave hours at the rate of five (5) hours for each one hundred and sixty (160) hours of regular hours worked. Credits will begin to accumulate from the date of the completion of a three (3) month full-time employment eligibility period. Paid time off, vacation, and a maximum of three hundred (300) hours of time off due to sickness, accident or in a calendar year will count as time worked for the purposes of accumulation of sick hours. An Employee's accumulated sick leave credits will be shown on each pay cheque. The Employer will apply any accumulated sick leave to absences due to sickness or accident which is not covered by Insured Weekly Indemnity Benefits (or similar benefits) and may supplement Weekly Indemnity Benefits (or similar benefits) provided the total amount paid to the Employee does not exceed his or her regular earnings. All requests for payment of sick leave hours will be in writing to Payroll no later than the Monday at following the pay period. An Employee who retires on pension will be paid any sick leave credits he or she may have accumulated upon retirement. An Employee who resigns will be paid any sick leave credits he or she may have accumulated. An Employee who is terminated will be paid any sick leave credits he or she may have accumulated. Accumulated sick hours will only be paid out to an Employee for reasons other than sickness if the payout will not reduce an Employee's accumulated sick hours below forty (40) hours. When a regular full-time Employee has qualified for Workers' Compensation benefits, the Employer will pay him or her the difference between his or her regular straight time earnings and what he or she receives from the Workers' Compensation Board for the first three (3) scheduled working days absence from the job. Thereafter, the Employer will pay him or her the difference between seventy-five percent (75%) of his or her regular straight time earnings and what he or she receives from the Workers' Compensation Board for a period of up to thirteen (13) weeks from the first day of absence.

21.03 The Employer agrees to make available all power tools including battery operated tools which may be required to perform the work involved.
a) The Employer will assist Employees in purchasing tools per the approved tool lists (Appendix C) by financing the tools over a period of up to five (5) months. The Employer limits the amount of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per year, which will be paid each year on the anniversary date of this Agreement.
18.04 A tool allowance up purchases to a maximum of one hundred dollars (1) week's pay. Repayment of purchases will be by a weekly deduction, the minimum being $25.00 per pay or as otherwise agreed with the Employee. Any Employee tool purchase must be authorized by his supervisor.
