Union Security Provisions. 7.01 The Company agrees that any present employee of the Company, who at the date of this Agreement, is a member of the Union, or any employee who, hereafter during the term of this Agreement, becomes a member of the Union shall, as a condition of the continued employment, maintain membership in good standing. (a) The Company shall deduct, as a condition of employment, from the weekly wage of each employee in the bargaining unit, Union dues and assessments in the amount certified by the Union to the Company to be currently in effect according to the Union's constitution. Such deductions shall be made weekly and shall be remitted by the 15th of the month following when the deductions are made and made payable to the International Treasurer of the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union (United Steelworkers), and forwarded to 00 Xxxxx Xxxxxx, Toronto, Ontario. (b) The remittance shall be sent to the International Secretary Treasurer of the United Steelworkers, AFL-CIO-CLC, P.O. Box 13083 Postal Station A Xxxxxxx, Xxxxxxx, X0X 0X0 in such manner as shall directed by the Union to the Company along with a completed Dues Remittance Form R – 115. A copy of the Dues Remittance Form R – 115 will also be sent to the Union office designated by the Area Coordinator. (c) The remittance of the R – 115 form shall be accompanied by a statement containing the following information: (i) A list of the names of all employees from whom no deductions have been made and reasons, and (ii) This information shall be sent to both Union addresses identified in Article 7.02 (b) in such form as shall be directed by the Union to the Company. (d) The Company, when preparing T-4 slips for the employees, will enter the amount of the Union dues paid by the employee during the previous year. (e) The monthly dues remittances shall be accompanied by a copy of the check- off list for the pay period in which deductions were made. The list shall set forth the names of the employees and the amount of dues and sums equivalent to the union dues. 7.03 The Union will save the Company harmless from any and all claims, which may be made by employees against the Company for amounts deducted from wages in accordance with the terms of the Article.

The total amount so deducted, with an itemized statement of same in duplicate, will be forwarded to the Union in the manner provided for in sub-section (d) hereof.
(b) The Company agrees to deduct an International Union Assessment or Assessments, when advised to do so by the International Secretary-Treasurer or his Deputy, from the earnings of every employee covered by this Agreement. The total amount so deducted, with an itemized statement of same in duplicate, will be forwarded to the Union in the manner provided for in sub-section (d) hereof.
(c) Cheques will be made payable to Xxx Xxxxxxx (or his successor), International Treasurer of the United Steelworkers. Until further notice from the Union, all cheques will be forwarded to the United Steelworkers, P.O. Box 9083, Commerce Court Postal Station, Toronto, Ontario M5L 1K1, made payable aforesaid and prior to the 15th of the month next following that in which the deductions apply.
4.03 The Company agrees to have all present and future employees covered by this Agreement, as a condition of employment, from the weekly wage of each employee in the bargaining unit, Union dues and assessments in the amount certified by the Union to sign a check-off card authorizing the Company to be currently in effect according to implement the Union's constitution. Such deductions shall be made weekly and shall be remitted by the 15th provisions of the month following when the deductions are made and made payable to the International Treasurer of the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union (United Steelworkers)4.02 hereof, and forwarded the Union agrees to 00 Xxxxx Xxxxxx, Toronto, Ontarioindemnify the Company and hold it harmless against any claim which may arise in complying with the provisions of this Article.
(b) 4.04 Union members are to be supplied with Union deduction totals for income tax purposes. A copy of the Dues Remittance Form R – 115 will also be sent forwarded to the Union office designated by in the Area Coordinatormanner provided for in subsection (d) hereof.
(c) The remittance of Company agrees to deduct an initiation fee in the R – 115 form shall be accompanied by a statement containing the following information:
(i) A list of the names of all employees from whom no deductions have been made and reasons, and
(ii) This information shall be sent to both Union addresses identified in Article 7.02 (b) in such form as shall be directed amount authorized by the Union employee upon receipt of an authorization, signed by the employee. The total amount so deducted, with an itemized statement of same in duplicate, will be forwarded to the CompanyUnion in the manner provided for in subsection (d) hereof.
(d) Cheques will be made payable to United Steelworkers and sent to the following address: United Steelworkers, P.O. Box 9083, Commerce Court Postal Station, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M5L 1K1 made payable aforesaid and prior to the 15th of the month next following that in which the deductions apply.
4.03 The CompanyCompany agrees to have all present and future employees covered by this Agreement, when preparing T-4 as a condition of continued employment, sign a check-off card authorizing the Company to implement the provisions of 4.02 hereof, and the Union agrees to indemnify the Company and hold it harmless against any claim which may arise in complying with the provisions of this Article.
4.04 Union members are to be supplied with Union deduction totals for income tax purposes. The Company agrees to show on employees' "T4" slips the total Union deductions for the employees, previous taxation year.
4.05 BULLETIN BOARD The Union will enter have the amount exclusive use of 1 Bulletin Boards on the premises of the Company and provided by the Company for the purpose of posting official Union notices which may be of interest to Union members. All such material may be posted only upon the authority of the Executive Committee of the Union dues paid by the employee during the previous year.
(e) The monthly dues remittances shall be accompanied by a copy or Shop Stewards of the check- off list for the pay period in which deductions were made. The list shall set forth the names of the employees and the amount of dues and sums equivalent to the union duesplant.
7.03 The Union will save the Company harmless from any and all claims, which may be made by employees against the Company for amounts deducted from wages in accordance with the terms of the Article.
