UNotification to the Union. The employer will notify the JHSC and union in writing of all reported incidents related to violence within 4 days. For critical injuries the employer will notify the JHSC immediately and both the JHSC and union in writing within 48 hours. Such notices will contain all of the information as prescribed in Section 5 of the health care regulation. The parties agree that this shall only apply to incidents involving bargaining unit members.

UNotification to the Union. The Employer shall notify the Union within three (3) days of any employee reporting having been assaulted while performing her or his work. The assaulted employee may choose to have her or his name remain confidential. Such information shall be provided to the Association in writing as soon as possible. Updated statistics on numbers of staff assaulted while performing work will be brought to each meeting of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
