Common use of Unpaid Union Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Union Leave of Absence. Upon request of the Union, submitted at least sixty (60) days in advance, a bargaining unit member may be granted a leave of absence without pay to perform full-time official duties on behalf of the Union. Such leave of absence shall be for a period of up to one year and may be extended for one or more additional periods of one year or less at the request of the Union.
