Political Education Fund. Deductions for the purposes of a political education fund shall be made in accordance with section 17 J of Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws. Any employee who objects to said political education fund fee may terminate his/her deduction by notifying his/her payroll clerk and the Union on a form provided by the Union.

Political Education Fund. A House Officer may consent in writing to the authorization of the deduction of a political education fee from his/her salary and to the designation of the Union as the recipient thereof. Such consent shall be in the form acceptable to the Employer and shall bear the signature of the employee. An employee may withdraw his/her political education fund fee authorization by giving at least sixty (60) days’ notice in writing to the Employer. No later than thirty (30) days after submission of the written authorization of deduction, the Employer shall begin deducting such political fund fee from the pay of House Officers who request such deduction and shall transmit deductions to the treasurer of the Union together with a list of House Officers whose political education fund fees are transmitted at the same time that dues deduction are transmitted. The Hospital shall incur no liability to the Union should it fail to take deductions within the thirty (30) days.
Political Education Fund. An IBEW Political Education (COPE) fund will be established upon adoption of mutually agreed to language by the parties but administered solely by IBEW Local 11. Contributions to the fund will be employee deductions.

Political Education Fund. Upon the demand of the Union and with forty-five (45) days notice in writing to the Employer, the Commonwealth shall deduct from the salary of each employee covered by the terms of this agreement a sum not to exceed fifty cents ($0.50) per week for a political education fund fee and transmit the amount to the Union. It is understood that said political education fund fee will be processed as an increment to the applicable amount of Union dues or agency fee normally deducted from the employee's salary; it is further understood that in processing the collected amounts to the Union, the Union bears sole responsibility for accounting to its members in terms of separation of Union dues/agency fee from said political education fund fee. Political Education Fund. The Employer agrees to honor and to transmit to the Union contribution deductions to the Service Employees International Union, Local 888, COPA (Committee on Political Action) from employees who are Union members and who sign deduction authorization cards. The deductions shall be in the amounts and with the frequency specified on the political contribution deduction authorization cards.

Said deduction to begin as soon as administratively possible after a voluntary authorization form signed by an employee is presented by the Union to the Employer: In accordance with federal law, XXXX will accept contributions only from members of the Union. Political contributions are not tax deductible.

Related to Political Education Fund

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Education Fund Full-Time and Part-Time 27.01 If the Local Union indicates to the Hospital that a special assessment of $0.03 per hour for Union education applies to all bargaining unit members, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment along with a listing of employees will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by the applicable SEIU Local Union for this purpose.

  • Distance Education 7.13.1 Expanding student access, not increasing productivity or enrollment, shall be the primary determining factor when a decision is made to schedule a distance education course. There will be no reduction in force of faculty (as defined in Article XXIII of this Agreement) as a result of the District’s participation in distance education. 7.13.2 Courses considered to be offered as distance education shall be defined in accordance with the Board of Governors’ Title 5 Regulations and Guidelines. Generally, this definition refers to courses where the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technology (reference section 55370 of Title 5 California Code of Regulations). The determination of which courses in the curriculum may be offered in a distance education format, in addition to instructor/student contact requirements, shall be in accordance with the Title 5 California Code of Regulations.
