Common use of Unpaid Union Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Union Leave of Absence. A. Upon request by the Union, an employee may be granted a leave of absence without pay to perform full-time official duties on behalf of the Union. Such leave of absence shall be for a period of up to one (1) year and may be extended for one (1) or more additional periods of one (1) year or less at the request of the Union.
