Unsafe Work Assignments. The University will comply with WAC 000-000-000. An employee who is given an assignment that they reasonably believe will be detrimental to their health will immediately notify their supervisor. The employee will not be required to perform the alleged unsafe assignment, and will not receive discipline for refusing to do so, until the matter has been reviewed with the employee’s supervisor. If such a review does not resolve the matter, it will be referred to the University’s Environmental Health and Safety staff. At the employee’s request, a Union shop xxxxxxx may participate in any review conducted pursuant to this section.
