Common use of Unscheduled Absence Clause in Contracts

Unscheduled Absence. An employee whose absence is unscheduled must notify his/her immediate supervisor as early as possible but at least one (1) hour prior to his/her starting time for the first day that the employee is unable to report for work unless extenuating circumstances make a full hour’s notice impractical. In such cases, the employee must notify his/her immediate supervisor as early as practical.
