Common use of Unused Sick Days Clause in Contracts

Unused Sick Days. Any employee retiring from the District in accordance with the State of Michigan Retirement Program shall be compensated forty ($40.00) dollars a day for each accumulated day of unused sick leave.

Unused Sick Days. Any employee retiring from the District in accordance with the State of Michigan Retirement Program shall be compensated forty ($40.00) dollars a at the rate equal to ½ of the member’s normal work day for each accumulated day of unused sick leaveleave up to a maximum of fifty (50) days.

Unused Sick Days. Any employee retiring from the District in accordance with the State of Michigan Retirement Program and with at least ten (10) years of service to the District, or who voluntarily resigns their position with at least twenty (20) years of service to the District, who was hired prior to July 1, 1997, shall be compensated forty at fifty percent ($40.0050%) dollars a day of his/her current daily rate of pay for each accumulated day of unused sick leaveleave up to a maximum of one hundred (100) days. Employees hired after July 1, 1997, shall be compensated at sixty percent (60%) of his/her current daily rate of pay for each accumulated day of unused sick leave up to a maximum of $2,750.
