Upon advanced request to the Human Resources Department an Employee may review at a mutually agreeable time, his/her personnel file. Employees will not be given access to pre-employment information (i.e. references) in their respective files. Employee evaluations, documentation of counseling, and notices of disciplinary action will be reviewed with the employee who shall sign or initial the same prior to placement in his/her personnel file. Such signing or initialing shall not indicate an acceptance or admission of the statements contained in said material, but only knowledge of its existence. In the event the employee refuses to sign or initial, this will be documented and placed in the employee personnel file.
