Common use of Usage of Personal Leave Clause in Contracts

Usage of Personal Leave. A. Participation in activities called by or sponsored by the ASSOCIATION shall not be considered valid grounds for use of a personal leave day, unless prior approval in writing is secured from the Superintendent. B. Personal leave shall not be charged for a leave of absence unless the Professional Staff Member has requested use of such day as personal leave. C. Personal leave may be taken only in a minimum increment of either one-half (1/2) or one (1) full day. D. Personal leave may not be used during the first or last week of school in any semester or on the day before or after any holiday or vacation.
