Unused Sick Days Sample Clauses

Unused Sick Days. When an employee who has ten (10) years' service in the district retires or resigns from the district, the employee shall receive a final payment of twenty dollars ($20.00) for each accumulated unused sick leave day up to a maximum of one hundred eighty (180) days. A death benefit of $700.00 or $25.00 for each accumulated unused sick day, whichever is greater, shall be paid to the estate of an employee within thirty (30) days of death.

Unused Sick Days. Any employee retiring from the District in accordance with the State of Michigan Retirement Program shall be compensated forty ($40.00) dollars a day for each accumulated day of unused sick leave.

Unused Sick Days. Payment for unused sick leave days at the rate of one (1) day for every two (2) days accumulated (at the employee rate of pay at retirement). A maximum of one hundred (100) days will be allowed for payment to those employees who have accumulated 300 or more sick days. There will be a lump sum payment to the beneficiary of a deceased employee for unused sick leave days at the rate of one (1) day for every two (2) days accumulated at the time of the employee’s death. Employees who wish to take advantage of the above death benefit must file a DESIGNATION OF DEATH BENEFIT BENEFICIARY Form (see Addendum IV) with the Superintendent of Schools and Business Office. The failure to properly complete and file a DESIGNATION OF DEATH BENEFIT BENEFICIARY Form will result in waiver of the aforementioned death benefit.
Unused Sick Days. Upon retiring from the District, in accordance with the regulations of the appropriate provisions of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) Act, full-time employees shall receive twenty-nine dollars ($29.00) for each unused sick day accumulated to two hundred forty (240) days. Similarly, part-time employees who work at least four (4) hours per day but less than six (6) hours per day shall receive fourteen dollars ($14.00) for each unused sick leave day accumulated to two hundred forty (240) days. Part-time employees who work at least six (6) hours per day but less than full-time shall receive twenty-one ($21.00) for each unused sick leave day accumulated to two hundred forty (240) days. Pay for unused sick leave days shall only be available for those days not used for creditable service with IMRF.
Unused Sick Days. Employees who have completed ten (10) full years of employment for the District will be paid upon retirement to IMRF from the District thirty dollars ($30.00) per day for unused sick days, provided that the employee has maximized their IMRF service credit and has unused sick days remaining. Any amount over the IMRF Earnings Limitation shall be paid post retirement.
