Vacancies after Rent-Up. If an Eligible Family vacates an Assisted Unit and the Grantee program includes vacancy payments, the Owner is entitled to Rental Assistance Payments (except as provided in paragraph (d) of this section) that may not exceed 80 percent of the Contract Rent for up to 60 days of vacancy if the Owner: (1) Certifies that it did not cause the vacancy by violating the lease, the Contract or any applicable law; (2) Notified the Grantee of the vacancy or prospective vacancy and the reasons for it immediately upon learning of the vacancy or prospective vacancy; (3) Has fulfilled and continues to fulfill the requirements under this Contract; and (i) Commence and perform appropriate feasible actions to fill the vacancy, consistent with the Grantee’s PRA program; and (ii) Has not rejected any eligible applicant, except for good cause acceptable to the Grantee. (4) Certifies that any eviction of an Eligible Family resulting in a vacancy was carried out in compliance with section 2.9.

  • VACANCIES AND PROMOTIONS 10.1 All openings for instructional and administrative positions shall be posted on the District website. Notice of these vacancies shall be posted at least five (5) work days prior to the filling of such vacancy. Vacancies which occur during June, July, and August shall be posted for only four (4) work days. Vacancies that occur within one week of the beginning of school, within one week after the Deputy Superintendent’s FTE mini-count, or during the school year due to a resignation or approved transfer, may be filled prior to the job closing if a qualified applicant is available. Certified: Hold a valid in-field Florida temporary or professional certificate that matches the certification(s) required for the position being advertised. Qualified: Anyone using the High Objective Uniform State Standard of Evaluation (HOUSSE) plan to qualify must meet the criteria outlined in School Board policy and match the certification required for the position being advertised. Alternately, state-certified teachers may also be required to "qualify" for positions by holding additional endorsements such as ESOL, Reading, and Gifted. Exception: Applicants applying for positions that require district-granted CTE certification (non-transferable) need not hold that certification prior to being selected for an interview but must meet the minimum criteria outlined in the district's Process for Granting District CTE Certificates.

  • Permanent Vacancies When a permanent job or vacancy occurs in a position previously held by a bargaining unit member, or a newly created position within the bargaining unit, notice of the job or vacancy shall be posted on the bulletin board in each building in which bargaining unit personnel work for ten (10) working days, and a copy mailed to the local Association Xxxxxxx. For purposes of this section, the addition of more regularly scheduled hours to an existing part-time position will be considered to be a vacancy if the additional hours cause the part-time position to become a full-time position. A copy of the vacancy notice shall also be sent to each bargaining unit member who is laid off. A permanent job or vacancy does not include vacancies caused by leaves of absence. The Employer, in its sole discretion, shall determine if a vacancy exists which is to be filled under this Section. Employees interested in the job posting may file a written application with the Employer by the deadline established in the posting. The Employer shall give due consideration to all applicants for the permanent vacancy, including applicants from outside the bargaining unit. In considering an applicant's qualifications to perform the required work, the Employer shall consider the employee's ability, experience, training, productivity, seniority, work performance, work record and dependability. The applicant considered by the Employer in its sole discretion to be the best qualified shall be awarded the permanent vacancy; provided, however, that if the Employer determines that the qualifications of the applicants who meet the qualifications for the job or vacancy are equal, the applicant with the greatest seniority shall be awarded the position. The Employer reserves the right to determine that none of the applicants are qualified and leave the position open or to seek further applicants.

  • Vacancies Whenever a vacancy in the Board of Trustees shall occur, the remaining Trustees may fill such vacancy by appointing an individual having the qualifications described in this Article by a written instrument signed by a majority of the Trustees then in office or may leave such vacancy unfilled or may reduce the number of Trustees; provided the aggregate number of Trustees after such reduction shall not be less than the minimum number required by Section 2.1 hereof; provided, further, that if the Shareholders of any class or series of Shares are entitled separately to elect one or more Trustees, a majority of the remaining Trustees or the sole remaining Trustee elected by that class or series may fill any vacancy among the number of Trustees elected by that class or series.   • JOB VACANCIES 11.01 It is the desire of the Company to move regular employees to better paying or more desirable jobs as openings occur. When a permanent vacancy occurs, which is required to be filled by the employer on a full-time basis, a job posting will be placed on the Company's bulletin boards and in the department in which the posted job is located for a period of three (3) working days and will describe the job requirements, the rate of pay, or department and the effective date by which the job is to be filled. Employees receiving a job from a job posting will sign for that job classification and department, and at that time it will become his job classification and department. Displaced Skilled Trades employees may apply and receive a job in Schedule II without loss of recall rights to their job classification in Schedule I. Upon recall to Schedule I, the employee will then relinquish any recall rights to any job in Schedule II. Schedule I employees who receive a job posting in Schedule II may relinquish their recall rights to Schedule I by signing a waiver form at the time of the posting if they so desire. (a) All jobs shall be posted within five (5) days of the permanent vacancy. (b) Job vacancies will not be posted in the following cases: (1) Temporary jobs. (2) Job vacancies which have been posted in the previous one (1) month unless such a posting has been exhausted in which case a second posting shall be posted and exhausted before hiring from outside. (3) While employees in the job classification in the department in which the vacancy occurs are on layoff or have been displaced. (4) When an apprentice completes his apprenticeship he will be absorbed in his trade without a job posting, subject to his seniority. 11.02 In considering applications from regular employees for job postings, employees with seniority and qualifications will be given consideration on a plant-wide basis in filling such jobs. The senior applicant qualified to perform the job will be selected. Qualifications as applied to job postings shall mean such factors relating to job performance as physical fitness, skill and ability, licenses (where required) and past work record with the Company. Prior to the final selection of the successful job applicant, the Area Manager or appropriate department head, the Manager of Human Resources shall review all applications and communicate their decision to the President of the Association or the appropriate department representative. 11.03 Where a dispute arises in the selection of an applicant for job posting, the provisions of Article 10.09

  • VACANCIES AND TRANSFERS A vacancy shall be defined, for purposes of this Agreement, as a position previously held by a bargaining unit member that needs to be filled, or a newly created PSS position. When all necessary parties agree, vacancies can be filled by organizational advancement or transfer from within the hiring department and shall not require posting. All vacancies will be posted for a minimum of seven (7) working days unless filled by transfer, reassignment, or recall of a laid off staff member. Notice of vacancies will be given to the Alliance President and Chief Alliance Xxxxxxx at the time they are posted on the University's electronic Notices GVSU Business board, and will be simultaneously posted at the University’s electronic employment website. A vacancy will not be filled until after the posting period has expired. Job postings shall include the classification, department, location(s), work schedule and the position description. The search committee will include a PSS member. Typically, vacancies will be posted as an open search available for both internal and external applicants. A job posting limited to internal applicants may occur upon approval. In each instance, all qualified internal applicants will receive an interview. The search committee must present strong justification for not selecting an internal applicant who meets the minimum qualifications of the position. When two applicants are equally qualified for the vacant position, based on current position description and satisfactory work and attendance, the more senior qualified staff member will receive the assignment. At the time of job offer, the University shall notify the selected staff member of any known or impending changes in the position. The Human Resources Office, or their designee, will provide internal applicants not selected for the position with rationale for the decision. Candidates who were interviewed but not selected may contact Human Resources to schedule a meeting with the Search Committee Chairperson, a Human Resource representative, and an Alliance Representative to discuss the reason for non-selection. The Alliance must notify the employer within three (3) working days that the meeting has been the step 1 meeting of the grievance process. If a meeting is requested or a grievance is filed, the position cannot be filled until this process is completed. An internal staff member selected for the position will be required to establish that they can do the job within eight (8) working days. Failure to qualify shall result in returning the selected staff member to their former position and is not subject to the grievance procedure. The staff member shall also have the option to elect to return to their former position within eight (8) working days. When making departmental changes, transfer shall be with the consent of the staff member whenever possible but when there is no reasonable alternative, it may be involuntary. When involuntary transfer is required, the least senior qualified staff member shall be transferred to a similar position (e.g., classification, full or part-time) or be given the option of electing an unpaid leave of absence with eligibility only for the next vacancy in their classification, if qualified. That person shall be disqualified from consideration when the position from which they were transferred is posted. Nothing contained in this Section is intended to prevent the University from making necessary changes in positions, eliminating positions or creating new positions.

  • Definition of Vacancy A vacancy shall be defined as a newly created position or a present position that is not filled. A position that is totally eliminated shall not be considered a vacancy.

  • Notification of Vacancies A laid off employee shall be notified by certified mail of an appropriate vacancy, sent to the employee’s address on file in the office of the Executive Director for Human Resources Management.
