Vacancy Defined. A vacancy shall be defined as a newly created position or a present position that is not filled. Should a vacancy occur at the discretion of administration, consideration will be given to paraprofessionals on layoff with specialized training/experience/qualifications/seniority needed for the specific setting, while minimizing disruption for classrooms and students.
