Common use of Vacancy Notification Clause in Contracts

Vacancy Notification. Interested bargaining unit members may apply in writing to the Superintendent, or designee, within the five (5) day posting period. The Employer shall notify bargaining unit members of vacancies occurring during the summer months (June, July, August) by sending notice of same to each bargaining unit member via U.S. mail to their last known address. The bargaining unit member shall make the request in writing, on a form provided by the Central Office. A copy of the posting shall also be sent to the home address of the Association President.
