Vacation Approval Requirements. ‌ All vacations must be approved by the Sheriff or designee. All requests for vacation shall be submitted at least two (2) weeks prior to the intent of going on vacation. In the event conflicting dates occur for employees requesting vacation leave, approval shall be determined as follows: • seniority shall prevail for vacations scheduled more than 60 days in advance • vacations scheduled less than 60 days in advance shall be awarded on a first come first served basis The employer shall respond to vacation requests within two weeks.
