Maintenance of Vehicles. Contractor will service and maintain all vehicles used to provide services under this agreement in accordance with the maintenance specifications of the vehicles’ manufacturers and to the satisfaction of HCAOG and the California Highway Patrol. Contractor will, at all times, keep such vehicles neat and clean, lubricate them periodically and provide fuel, oil, tires and other parts as needed.
Maintenance of Vehicles. The Contractor covenants and agrees to maintain the vehicles used for the services described herein in a cleanly state and in good mechanical and operating condition, the whole at Contractor’s cost.

Repairs shall include major repairs unless a vehicle has exceeded its allowable mileage under customary industry standards, which in that case the COUNTY shall not be required to make major repairs. COUNTY shall not be responsible to repair damage to vehicles caused by a crash, incident or vandalism, which occurs while the vehicles are in the possession and control of OPERATOR. The COUNTY will specifically provide the services listed below ⮚ Purchase of parts for any vehicle repairs ⮚ Purchase of tires, fluids and batteries ⮚ Purchase of any shop tools and equipment ⮚ Purchase of first aid kits, spill kits, fire extinguishers and warning triangles for new vehicles with replacement of such items being the responsibility of the OPERATOR. ⮚ Recertification of fire extinguishers ⮚ Provision of towing services ⮚ Pay for fluid or environmental disposal fees ⮚ Outside services related to vehicle maintenance or cosmetic damages occurring prior to the effective date of the Agreement, and for which the COUNTY is otherwise responsible. ⮚ Update MSDS sheets ⮚ Prepare maintenance reports ⮚ Perform maintenance duties related to road calls in coordination with OPERATOR. ⮚ Provided reports directly related to vehicle maintenance ⮚ Repair inoperable interior and exterior lights, doors and latching devices, wheel chair lifts, seat belts and securing devices, horn and all standard safety features such as hazard flashers. ⮚ Repair all broken mirrors, windows, and body damages ⮚ Repair broken seats and upholstery ⮚ Repair vehicle leaks and defects in the exhaust system ⮚ Keep complete vehicle maintenance records for each vehicle ⮚ Provide and affix COUNTY decals. Other OPERATOR requested decals or lettering, must be approved by COUNTY and paid by the OPERATOR.
Maintenance of Vehicles. Where an existing or future transit property is being used for the purposes of operating Community Transit Services, the Union commits to provide servicing of the vehicles at competitive rates. Community Transit vehicles may be maintained by employees covered by this collective agreement where practicable.
Maintenance of Vehicles. 7.5.1 Through an approved Preventive Maintenance Program, CONTRACTOR shall cause all components of each vehicle and tram (including vehicles owned by the CONTRACTOR) including its body, frame, furnishing, mechanical, electric, hydraulic or other operating systems to be maintained in proper working condition free from damage and malfunction. Any significant vehicle damage caused in any accident or otherwise shall require CONTRACTOR to immediately repair such damage, which is determined to impair safe mechanical operation of the vehicle.
7.5.2 CONTRACTOR shall follow a maintenance program. The maintenance program shall meet or exceed manufacturer’s recommendations or specified guidelines, including all add- on equipment installed by a second state manufacturer. Preventive maintenance/safety inspection must be performed every three thousand (3,000) miles or every 30 days, but not to exceed 45 days, whichever occurs first. In addition, all maintenance work shall conform to but not be limited to, the requirements of Title 13, Article 6, of the California Vehicle Code.
7.5.3 All painted surfaces shall be in good condition. Normal wear and tear to the finish is to be expected, but paint is to be maintained at a high level of finish throughout the Agreement period as the CITY wishes to present the best possible image to the public. All painted surfaces shall be free from graffiti and scratches, and there shall be no perceivable difference in gloss or shades of individual colors. It shall be the responsibility of CONTRACTOR to assume all costs associated with painting the vehicles to the standards established by CITY, in regard to fading or discoloration from wear and tear.
7.5.4 NO vehicle shall be operated that has body, paint, or interior damage unless special permission has been granted by the CITY due to extraordinary circumstances.
7.5.5 In no event shall CITY be required to repair, replace, or maintain any vehicle. However, should the cost of vehicle repair exceed the value of the vehicle, CITY will replace such vehicle with another vehicle provided by OCTA contingent upon proof of Preventive Maintenance Program and documentation of cost of such repair(s).
7.5.6 CONTRACTOR, at its sole cost and expense, shall maintain stores of and provide electricity, lubricants, repairs, parts, decals and supplies required for the maintenance and operation of all vehicles utilized in providing the services required under this Agreement.

Maintenance of Vehicles. All ambulances shall at all times be adequately maintained, serviced, and mechanically sound. Provider shall maintain maintenance records that may be inspected by the City as requested. A local full-time maintenance facility shall be maintained for servicing inspection and/or repair work.

LSS shall keep, operate and maintain all vehicles in good operating condition, repair, and appearance (including, but not limited to, a clean exterior free of any appearance of major damage and a clean interior with proper safety equipment). LSS has their own washers and therefore, vehicles are washed and detailed twice a week. A third day is implemented in inclement weather in an effort to keep the transportations clean. Each vehicle shall be in good mechanical condition with all amenities in working order, ready for deployment as scheduled. Maintenance records shall be provided to the Hotel on request. Daily cleaning shall consist of cleaning and dusting interior surface areas, emptying trash cans, repair of damage to upholstery, removal of graffiti, and removal of gum and sediments. Daily cleaning shall also consist of cleaning of the operator compartment and wheelchair lift, mopping the floor, and washing the exterior and interior (including exterior windows and the undercarriage). Interior glass shall be cleaned as necessary to maintain a clean appearance and maximum visibility. Refueling of transportations are done on graveyard by two assigned fueler’s each night to ensure service is not impacted. Company shall perform a mechanical inspection every forty-five (45) days. Company’s maintenance staff shall keep records of (1) maintenance history, (2) vehicles’ statistics (days in service, fuel consumption, hours in service per day, odometer readings, oil consumption, and tire depth), (3) repair history, (4) tool use by mechanics, and (5) work orders. Inspection records shall be provided to the Hotel on request. Each driver shall perform a pre-trip safety inspection and post-trip safety inspection. Company reserves the right to substitute vehicles of like age and condition for the regularly used vehicle(s) during periods of regularly scheduled maintenance or unscheduled and/or unforeseen repairs. Each substitute vehicle shall display proper hotel signage. ETA Transit Trackers will be installed on all transportations. It allows the passenger to see your vehicles on route to/from the hotel to the airport. This capability is done through an app for Android/iOs phones. This minimizes the passengers calling for a location of the shuttle. Also, it helps the dispatcher keep the transportations separated from clogging up to the hotel at the same time.
