Common use of Vacation Entitlement Clause in Contracts

Vacation Entitlement. During each year of continuous employment, an Employee shall earn entitlement to a vacation with pay to be taken in the next following year as follows: (a) Provided that any more favourable or beneficial vacation entitlement which applied to existing Employees in these positions prior to the effective date of this Collective Agreement shall be preserved and continued in effect: (i) during the 1st year of such employment, an Employee earns a vacation of 15 working days; (ii) during each of the 2nd to 9th years of employment, an Employee earns a vacation of 20 working days; (iii) during each of the 10th to 19th years of employment, an Employee commences to earn vacation with pay at the rate of 25 working days per year; (iv) during each of the 20th and subsequent years of employment, an Employee commences to earn vacation with pay at the rate of 30 working days per year.

During each year of continuous employmentservice in the employ of the Employer, an Employee shall earn entitlement to a vacation with pay to and the rate of earning entitlement shall be taken in the next following year as follows: (a) Provided that any more favourable or beneficial Regular Full-time Employees shall earn vacation entitlement which applied to existing Employees with pay calculated in these positions prior to hours in accordance with the effective date of this Collective Agreement shall be preserved and continued in effectfollowing: (i) during the 1st first (1st) year of such continuous employment, an Employee earns a vacation at the rate of 15 fifteen (15) working daysdays (one hundred and sixteen point two five (116.25) hours); (ii) during each of the 2nd second (2nd) to 9th ninth (9th) years of continuous employment, an Employee earns a vacation at the rate of 20 twenty (20) working daysdays (one hundred and fifty-five (155) hours); (iii) during each of the 10th tenth (10th) to 19th nineteenth (19th) years of continuous employment, an Employee commences to earn earns a vacation with pay at the rate of 25 working days per year; (iv) during each of the 20th and subsequent years of employment, an Employee commences to earn vacation with pay at the rate of 30 working days per year.twenty-five

Vacation Entitlement. During each year of continuous employmentservice in the employ of the Employer, an Employee shall earn Employeeshallearn entitlement to a vacation with pay to pay. Vacation entitlementearned in one vacation year can be taken in the next following vacation year. Vacation entitlements unused at the expiration of one vacation year shall be paid out. There shall be no carry forward of unused vacation entitlement from one vacation year to the next. The rate at which vacation entitlement is earned shall be governed by the position held by the Employee and the total length of such service as follows: (a) Provided that any more favourable or beneficial vacation entitlement which applied to existing Employees in these positions prior to the effective date of this Collective Agreement shall be preserved and continued in effect: (i) : during the 1st first (1st) year of such employment, employment an Employee earns a vacation of 15 working fifteen (15) days; ; during the second (ii2nd) during each of the 2nd to 9th years ninth (9th)years of employment, an Employee earns a vacation of 20 twenty (20) working days; (iii) . during each the tenth year of the 10th to 19th years of employment, an Employee commences to earn vacation with pay at the rate of 25 working days per year; (iv) during each of the 20th such employment and subsequent years of employment, an Employee commences to earn earns a vacation with pay at the rate of 30 twenty five (25) working days per yeardays.

The rate at which such entitlement is earned shall be taken in governed by the next following year position held by the Employee and the total length of such service as follows: (a) Provided that any more favourable or beneficial vacation entitlement which applied to existing Employees in these positions prior to the effective date of this Collective Agreement shall be preserved and continued in effect: (i) during the 1st first (1st) to fourth (4th) year of such employment, an Employee earns a vacation of 15 fifteenth (15) working days; (ii) during each of the 2nd fifth (5th) to 9th fourteenth (14th) years of employment, an Employee earns a vacation of 20 twenty (20) working days; (iii) during each of the 10th to 19th years of employment, an Employee commences to earn vacation with pay at the rate of 25 working days per year; fifteenth (iv15th) during each of the 20th and subsequent years of employment, an Employee commences to earn vacation with pay at the rate of 30 twenty-five (25) working days per year.
