Common use of Vacation, Maternity Leave and other Leaves Clause in Contracts

Vacation, Maternity Leave and other Leaves. pursuant to Article 11 of the Collective Agreement In the event that one member of the job sharing arrangement goes on vacation, maternity leave and any other leave of absence identified under Article 11 of the collective agreement in excess of thirty (30) days, the remaining partner has the option of covering all of the absent partner’s shifts for the duration of the absence. If the employee is unable to cover the entire leave of absence, she/he must inform the Program Manager at least two (2) weeks prior to the posting of each schedule. If the employee cannot cover for her/his partner, the vacancy will be offered to the most senior regular part- time employee.

If the employee Employee cannot cover for her/her or his partner, the vacancy will be offered to the most senior regular part- part-time employeeEmployee.
