Validation and Verification. Bodies applying for accreditation are expected to act as Accredited Validation and Verification Bodies as part of complying with the requirements for accreditation. The functions designated above as retained authorities and primary responsibilities of the State will be performed by State staff and/or independent consultants hired directly by the State as IV&V contractors. Subject to the confidentiality requirements set forth in Section 21, Provider agrees to provide reasonable cooperation with State personnel and/or IV&V contractors in conducting such quality assurance reviews.

In addition to the quality assurance efforts provided by the Contractor, the State will perform validation and verification activities over key projects and operational processes. The functions designated above as retained authorities and primary responsibilities of the State will be performed by State staff and/or independent consultants hired directly by the State as Independent Verification and Validation and (IV&V) contractors. Business units of the State will also have periodic federal or industry regulatory requirements to verify and validate configurations, i.e. IRS, HIPPA, and CJIS. The Contractor will be required to fully cooperate with such authorities.

Validation and Verification. Service Recipient shall retain sole and exclusive authority, discretion and rights of approval in respect of its’ IT architectural and design requirements and strategies relating to the infrastructure deployed by Provider in respect of the Services. Prior to presenting each Deliverables to Service Recipient for Acceptance, Provider shall perform all pre-delivery functionality testing required in accordance with Service Recipient’s requirements and in accordance with the agreed timelines for such testing. The Provider testing shall be sufficiently rigorous to identify any faults or deficiencies that are reasonably discoverable and Provider shall be required to remedy any faults or deficiencies identified during such Provider testing and retest the Deliverable in accordance with this clause to verify that the fault or deficiency has been successfully remedied and that there are no other deficiencies.
