Vehicle Specification. CONTRACTOR shall use vehicles that are designed and operated so as to prevent collected materials from escaping from the vehicles. All trucks and containers shall be watertight and shall be operated so that liquids do not spill during collection or in transit. Except in the case of collection of Large Items, all collection vehicles utilized by CONTRACTOR pursuant to this Agreement shall provide fully- automated collection except where such service is not feasible because of topographic or other physical factors. The determination that fully-automated collection vehicles are not feasible shall be made by the City Representative after consultation with CONTRACTOR. Where fully-automated services are not feasible, CONTRACTOR shall consult with the City Representative regarding the collection equipment to be utilized.
Vehicle Specification. This Schedule refers to the Vehicle Specification requirements. The full technical Vehicle Operational Specification Version 2 – 2013, forms part this Schedule. In addition, the requirements in respect of the Fleet Management System (FMS) and the Bus Pre-Preparation specification issued on 9 July 2015, shall be effective for Route Agreements awarded from tranche 526 onwards.

Vehicle Specification. All Vehicles Hired must conform to current legal requirements and statutory modifications and re-enactment thereof from the time being in force and any regulation or order made or having effect there under.

The Specialized Transit Bus specification(s) will be primarily performance-based, identifying minimum performance requirements rather than specific components and enabling all qualified Proponents the flexibility to bid in the most efficient, cost- effective manner. Vehicle Specification. 2.1 The supplier shall provide semi- luxury minibuses for the transport services to Middelburg.
2.2 Proof of purchase within 12 months to the contract shall be submitted by the Supplier.
2.3 All minibuses shall be fitted with SABS approved safety belts for each seat and all seats must be covered in soft cloth and not vinyl material.
2.4 Minibuses to be 22 seaters and 14 seaters.
2.5 The routes of the minibuses and the number and size of buses shall be as specified by
2.6 The supplier shall provide the number and size of vehicles specified to render an efficient and satisfactory service for the specified routes. The size of the vehicle per route shall be allocated per the approximate number of passengers per route.
2.7 The Supplier MUST HAVE spare minibuses in the event of breakdowns and/or Maintenance service of operating buses. All spare buses must meet the same specifications and requirements.
2.8 All vehicles must have the Supplier call center number at the back of the vehicle to report unsafe driver conduct.
2.9 The Supplier must adhere to all Regulations. The maximum speed limit of all vehicles must be 100km/h; the speed should be monitored by a tracker system.
2.10 The vehicles must be Euro 3 compliant.
2.11 No panel van or vehicle designed for goods delivery to be converted into a passenger vehicle.
2.12 The Supplier shall consider the Eskom Vehicle Safety Specification with Unique Identifier
2.13 All conditions as stipulated in the above listed shall be adhere to; and
2.14 All busses must have an entrance step which is not higher than 20cm (Universal Access) from the ground.
